Make the switch to JuJu Cup and be free from strings and wings. The JuJu Cup completely replaces tampons and pads and can be worn for 2 to 3 times longer. JuJu is made in Australian from a flexible, hypoallergenic, medical-grade silicone and does not contain any dyes or nasty chemicals. Make the switch to the reusable JuJu Cup today – it’s better for the environment (and your wallet). Ideally kept clean with JuJu Cleansing Wash.

JuJu Menstrual Cup is;

  • environmentally friendly as there is nothing to throw away
  • economic as it can last for many years, saving you money
  • comfortable, reliable and free from leaks and odours
  • convenient, compact, collects more than a tampon or pad and can be worn for up to 8 hours
  • does not contain additives such as dyes or fragrances
  • won't cause vaginal dryness
  • hygienic, easy to clean and disinfect
  • ideal for women who are active and for those who travel or play sports

JuJu Cup is folded and inserted into the vagina where it opens, creates a seal and collects menstrual flow. It is removed, emptied, washed and re-inserted every 8 hours (or as often a required for a heavier flow). After each cycle it is disinfected and reused during the next menstrual cycle.

Grippy Finish

The newer style JuJu Cups have a thicker stem with nodes as trim points and a more pronounce butterfly grip pattern at the base of the cup.

Choose this cup if you are new to using cups or if you know you have a high or low cervix.

This style is available in a Model 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Original Smooth Finish

The original JuJu Cup has a thinner triangular shaped stem and a smoother finish on the base of the cup.

Choose this cup if you are an experienced cup user and are comfortable with the removal of your menstrual cup.

This style is only available in a Model 1 and Model 2.

JuJu is available in four models;

  • Model 1: Recommend if you are under 30 and have not given birth (Grippy and Original Finish).
  • Model 2: Recommend if you are over 30 or have given birth (Grippy and Original Finish).
  • Model 3: Recommend if you have a high cervix or long vaginal canal (Grippy Finish).
  • Model 4: Recommend if you have a low cervix or short vaginal canal (Grippy Finish).

Please also see the other factors below which influence your choice in model number.

While there are no hard and fast rules for selecting a size, model selection is generally based on childbearing history. Many other factors, such as anatomy, age, and pelvic floor tone may also

influence your cup size selection.

1. Childbearing history, age, and cervical position

The following is a guide to selecting a suitable model;

  • Model 1: Under 30 years of age and have not given birth
  • Model 2: Over 30 years of age or have given birth
  • Model 3: For a high cervix or long vaginal canal
  • Model 4: For a low cervix or short vaginal canal

This is only a guide. Many women who have had children will still be able to successfully use a Model 1, and vice versa. So, please also consider the other factors below in conjunction with childbearing history and age.

2. Cervical position

Your cervical position may also influence your selection of the model number and/or your ability to successfully use a menstrual cup. Your cervix may move at different stages of your cycle, so it’s a good idea to check your cervical position at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of your menstrual cycle to get a good understanding of your overall cervical position.

To determine your cervical height; wash your hands, then insert your index finger into your vagina to locate your cervix. Your cervix is a bump, which feels a bit like the end of your nose, but is shaped like a donut. Thoroughly wash your hands.

If you consistently feel your cervix sitting just inside the vaginal opening or when you have only inserted the tip of your finger up to your ‘first knuckle’ (or the bend in your finger just below your fingernail), you most likely have a low cervix and a Model 4 JuJu Cup may be the most suitable for you. The Model 4 JuJu Cup is better suited to shorter vaginal canals as it has a shorter body and stem when compared with other JuJu Models. Please only choose this model if you are sure you have a low cervix throughout your cycle as the removal of this cup may be more difficult if you have a normal to high cervix. If your cervix tends to move around quite a bit during different stages your period, you may find a Model 4 is suitable for you at the start of your cycle, when your cervix is low, and a Model 2 is better towards the middle and end of your menstrual cycle when the cervix may sit a little higher. In most cases, the Model 4 JuJu Cup is not recommended for young girls or virgins.

If you are unable to reach your cervix or need to insert your finger past the middle bend in your finger before you can feel your cervix, you most likely have a high cervix and may like to consider the Model 3 JuJu Cup. The Model 3 JuJu Cup has a longer body, which makes removal easier for women with a high cervix and longer vaginal canal.

There is more detailed information on cervical position in our FAQs Section

3. Age

Some women experience a loss of pelvic floor tone due to hormonal changes and/or age. In this case, a Model 2 may be a preferred choice. A Model 4 should be considered if there is a loss of pelvic floor tone in conjunction with a low cervix.

4. Virgins and young women

A Model 1 is recommended for virgins and sexually active young women.

A Model 3 is recommended for virgins and sexually active young women with a high cervix/long vaginal canal.

5. Pelvic floor tone and exercise

If you have good pelvic floor tone, practice regular Kegel exercises or other activities, such as Pilates, yoga or dance, you may wish to consider a Model 1 regardless of your childbearing history and age.

If you have had corrective surgery, such as vaginoplasty or perineoplasty, you may want to consider a Model 1.

A Model 3 is recommended for women who have good pelvic floor tone in conjunction with a high cervix.

If you have lost some pelvic floor tone and have a low cervix, you may wish to consider a Model 4.

This Model should only be chosen if you are confident with removing a menstrual cup and are sure you have a low cervix.

6. Build

If you have a petite or small build, you may wish to consider a Model 1 JuJu.

If you have a larger build, you may wish to consider a Model 2 JuJu.

Freedom :)

Freedom from many things! No more tampons, greatly reduced cramps (no fear of it drying me out), very little leakage and much, much lower impact on the natural environment when it has been used for a while. Thank you so much! I've used juju for at least a year now; I still get a little leakage and use small liners on the heavier days but in general, these problems are decreasing as I get more comfortable with it and how to use it. I almost can't believe I didn't know about it earlier.

Life Changing!

I hated pads and tampons so much that I would purposely skip my period. Now I actually get excited! So comfortable and no leaks what so ever. I have found out that if you can feel it it's probably not in properly and it's easiest to insert while squatting, rather than sitting on the toilet. I recommend it to everyone I know, couldn't be happier 10/10

Changed my life

Hi! I just want to say that since getting a JuJu cup my life has changed. I have real trouble with tampons slipping and leaking. I have always had a terrible time with my periods and never succeeded in finding a good product or anything comfortable. I'm a crazy environmentalist who is living out in the Kimberley on a wildlife sanctuary and we have to be as minimal with our waste as possible. I'm so glad I got myself one of your cups and I want to buy another one as backup. Just wanna say thanks! You've made being a woman so much more easy and comfortable.

Not suited to my body

Mentrual cups are an amazing invention. The juju however is not made for my body. I have a low cervix so my cervix fills most of the cup so it always leaks. Also the cup keeps slipping so it doesn't stay over my cervix. Using the femmecycle cup now and it's great for a low cervix if anyone else is having this problem. I'm sure the juju cup is fantastic to try for anyone for a high cervix though.

Love it

Hi. As a 49 year old. I am overjoyed with my JuJu and recently gave one as a birthday present. Can't stop talking about it. Anyway I thought I would share a great tip. I replace it in the shower just before I get out. That way, no bleed on a towel or the quick exit. Love it so much.

I love it, however...

I love it so much - especially after I figured out which fold to use. It loses a star because it has no proper grip lines around the base. The butterflies need to be more pronounced, especially as the silicone is so smooth. i have a lot of internal 'folds' and the time it was taking to grip the base, my fingernails were slicing me up, even when short. Unfortunately, I've had to invest in a lunette, for this very issue. Please make a better grip on the base for us ladies with not much room to manouvre!

2017 review

Very comfortable for lighter days. I have never been able to wear tampons but the Juju, I could forget it's in. I found shortening the stem and turning inside out to be the best shape/fit for my body. No leaks. The benefits far outweigh the little bit of mess.
