Product Description

What is JuJu?

JuJu is a reusable menstrual cup made from medical-grade silicone. It replaces tampons and pads.

JuJu is available in two models and can be used by women of all ages.

Whilst there are no hard and fast rules for selecting a model size, model selection is generally based on childbearing history but many other factors such as anatomy, age and pelvic floor tone may influence your cup size selection.

The following table is a guide to model numbers based on childbearing history;

         Model    For
1    Women who HAVE NOT had a vaginal birth
2    Women who HAVE had a vaginal birth

Please note that the sizing recommendations should be used as a guide only.

If you have had a caesarean birth a Model 1 or Model 2 JuJu may be suitable.

When selecting a Model number, please also consider the other factors below in conjunction with childbrearing history.

Pelvic floor tone and exercise

If you have particularly strong pelvic floor tone due to practicing regular kegel exercises or other activities such as pilates, yoga or dance you may wish to consider a Model 1, regardless of childbearing history or age.

If you have had vaginal corrective surgery you may wish to consider a Model 1.

Virgins and young women

A Model 1 JuJu is recommended for virgins and sexually active young women.

If you have a petite or small build, you may wish to consider a Model 1 JuJu.

If you have a larger build, you may wish to consider a Model 2 JuJu.

If you have a low cervix or short vaginal canal, a Model 1 may suit you well.

If you have high cervix or long vaginal canal, a Model 2 may be better suited to your anatomy.

If you have any gynaecological concerns, such as a particularly long or narrow vaginal canal, we recommend you seek the advice of your medical practitioner prior to using JuJu to see if it is suitable for you.

Some women may lose vaginal and pelvic floor tone due to hormonal changes or age. In this case a Model 2 may be a preferred choice.

Cervical position

Your cervical position may also influence your ability to successfully use a menstrual cup. You can read more about Cervical Position in this article - Cervical Position

  1. Changed my life 5 Star Review

Posted by on Thu 18th May 2017

Hi! I just want to say that since getting a JuJu cup my life has changed. I have real trouble with tampons slipping and leaking. I have always had a terrible time with my periods and never succeeded in finding a good product or anything comfortable. I'm a crazy environmentalist who is living out in the Kimberley on a wildlife sanctuary and we have to be as minimal with our waste as possible. I'm so glad I got myself one of your cups and I want to buy another one as backup. Just wanna say thanks! You've made being a woman so much more easy and comfortable.

  2. Not suited to my body 3 Star Review

Mentrual cups are an amazing invention. The juju however is not made for my body. I have a low cervix so my cervix fills most of the cup so it always leaks. Also the cup keeps slipping so it doesn't stay over my cervix. Using the femmecycle cup now and it's great for a low cervix if anyone else is having this problem. I'm sure the juju cup is fantastic to try for anyone for a high cervix though.

  3. Love it 5 Star Review

Hi. As a 49 year old. I am overjoyed with my JuJu and recently gave one as a birthday present. Can't stop talking about it. Anyway I thought I would share a great tip. I replace it in the shower just before I get out. That way, no bleed on a towel or the quick exit. Love it so much.

  4. I love it, however... 4 Star Review

I love it so much - especially after I figured out which fold to use.
It loses a star because it has no proper grip lines around the base. The butterflies need to be more pronounced, especially as the silicone is so smooth. i have a lot of internal 'folds' and the time it was taking to grip the base, my fingernails were slicing me up, even when short.
Unfortunately, I've had to invest in a lunette, for this very issue.
Please make a better grip on the base for us ladies with not much room to manouvre!

Very comfortable for lighter days. I have never been able to wear tampons but the Juju, I could forget it's in. I found shortening the stem and turning inside out to be the best shape/fit for my body. No leaks. The benefits far outweigh the little bit of mess.

  6. Leaks! 3 Star Review

Posted by on Thu 16th Mar 2017

I got mine several months ago, and finds it still lets a little blood through, especially on the first few days. I still always wear liners, and I find they often aren't enough, especially over night. I always end up soaking a collection of underwear and pyjama shorts which really takes away the convenience of a menstrual cup. Three stars because I do still use it and find it better than alternative methods...

I have hated tampons and pads for years. I'm thrilled with my Juju. So easy to use and none of the tampon side effects (tampons = can be felt, itch, get wet strings, blood flows around them rather then absorbed, pads needed to back up tampons because they are rubbish).
My Juju requires no back up pads. It can't be felt. It doesn't smell. It doesn't itch. So easy to use. I'm spreading the word. I wish I'd known about them years ago. I'll never go back. Love my Juju!

  8. so much easier 5 Star Review

Posted by on Thu 22nd Dec 2016

i thought it would be hard to use cause i had some trouble the first 2 insertions but after the 3rd time round i had no more problems at all and its been a breeze since. ive noticed that i never feel the cup, and im even able to do handstands and yoga without leaking. its so much more convenient and im glad that is vegan and more environmentally friendly!!!

  9. Brilliant! 5 Star Review

I am on my second cycle using the Ju ju and I absolutely love it!! Wish I had discovered it years ago! Life changing!

  10. Best Thing Ever 5 Star Review

Posted by on Mon 14th Nov 2016

Started using the JuJu Menstrual cup my last cycle. By the second day I was completely convinced that no other form of sanitary product could compete with it. Took about two days (pre period) to work it out, so using it for the first time on my period was easy peazy. I really cannot say enough good stuff about this cup! Cute little satin pouch to store it in, easy to clean, easy to use (once over the first day or two of working it out) and so worth it! Having a reasonably light period on all but the first two days of my cycle was a pain in the neck when it came to summer boating. Couldn't use a tampon due to such a light flow- yet it was enough to stain any underwear/swimwear. The cup has saved the day! I can use the cup my entire period, even put it in before unlike a tampon and without the inconvenience of a pad. I can see how it will quickly pay for itself too, I payed extra for mine (65) since I bought it instore, but even so it will pay for itself in about 6 cycles. Half a year! I highly highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper, "greener," easier option to traditional sanitary products! So worth it!
