JuJu is a reusable menstrual cup made from medical-grade silicone. It replaces tampons and pads.
JuJu is available in two models and can be used by women of all ages.
Whilst there are no hard and fast rules for selecting a model size, model selection is generally based on childbearing history but many other factors such as anatomy, age and pelvic floor tone may influence your cup size selection.
The following table is a guide to model numbers based on childbearing history;
|1||Women who HAVE NOT had a vaginal birth|
|2||Women who HAVE had a vaginal birth|
Please note that the sizing recommendations should be used as a guide only.
If you have had a caesarean birth a Model 1 or Model 2 JuJu may be suitable.
When selecting a Model number, please also consider the other factors below in conjunction with childbrearing history.
If you have particularly strong pelvic floor tone due to practicing regular kegel exercises or other activities such as pilates, yoga or dance you may wish to consider a Model 1, regardless of childbearing history or age.
If you have had vaginal corrective surgery you may wish to consider a Model 1.
A Model 1 JuJu is recommended for virgins and sexually active young women.
If you have a petite or small build, you may wish to consider a Model 1 JuJu.
If you have a larger build, you may wish to consider a Model 2 JuJu.
If you have a low cervix or short vaginal canal, a Model 1 may suit you well.
If you have high cervix or long vaginal canal, a Model 2 may be better suited to your anatomy.
If you have any gynaecological concerns, such as a particularly long or narrow vaginal canal, we recommend you seek the advice of your medical practitioner prior to using JuJu to see if it is suitable for you.
Some women may lose vaginal and pelvic floor tone due to hormonal changes or age. In this case a Model 2 may be a preferred choice.
Your cervical position may also influence you ability to successfully use a menstrual cup. You can read more about Cervical Position in this article - Cervical Position.

Very comfortable for lighter days. I have never been able to wear tampons but the Juju, I could forget it's in. I found shortening the stem and turning inside out to be the best shape/fit for my body. No leaks. The benefits far outweigh the little bit of mess.

I got mine several months ago, and finds it still lets a little blood through, especially on the first few days. I still always wear liners, and I find they often aren't enough, especially over night. I always end up soaking a collection of underwear and pyjama shorts which really takes away the convenience of a menstrual cup. Three stars because I do still use it and find it better than alternative methods...

I have hated tampons and pads for years. I'm thrilled with my Juju. So easy to use and none of the tampon side effects (tampons = can be felt, itch, get wet strings, blood flows around them rather then absorbed, pads needed to back up tampons because they are rubbish).
My Juju requires no back up pads. It can't be felt. It doesn't smell. It doesn't itch. So easy to use. I'm spreading the word. I wish I'd known about them years ago. I'll never go back. Love my Juju!

I am on my second cycle using the Ju ju and I absolutely love it!! Wish I had discovered it years ago! Life changing!

Started using the JuJu Menstrual cup my last cycle. By the second day I was completely convinced that no other form of sanitary product could compete with it. Took about two days (pre period) to work it out, so using it for the first time on my period was easy peazy. I really cannot say enough good stuff about this cup! Cute little satin pouch to store it in, easy to clean, easy to use (once over the first day or two of working it out) and so worth it! Having a reasonably light period on all but the first two days of my cycle was a pain in the neck when it came to summer boating. Couldn't use a tampon due to such a light flow- yet it was enough to stain any underwear/swimwear. The cup has saved the day! I can use the cup my entire period, even put it in before unlike a tampon and without the inconvenience of a pad. I can see how it will quickly pay for itself too, I payed extra for mine (65) since I bought it instore, but even so it will pay for itself in about 6 cycles. Half a year! I highly highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper, "greener," easier option to traditional sanitary products! So worth it!

Like a lot of reviewers I wish I had known about these years ago. It was such a hassle always carrying tampons and pads, making sure there was a bin in the cubicle etc. Day 1, I thought it was a bit uncomfortable but after trimming the stem there is no issue at all, wouldn't know it was there. And you can wear it safely all night. I have never had it leak at all, working out, doing yoga, everything is so much easier.

I've had my JuJu for over a year now. (Just purchased my second as backup...)
I can honestly say it's changed my life.
I've always had a heavy-ish flow and was absolutely paranoid about leakage but JuJu has taken the worry out.
For my scary heavy days I just back it up with a pad (mainly for peace of mind. It's leaked only once & that's because I was in hurry inserting it and it didn't open properly).
Washing and reinserting in a public place can be a bit of a bother, but not really any more obvious than fiddling with wrappers of tampons/pads and you don't have to do it as frequently.
To be completely honest, "shark week" is never going to be pleasant but JuJu has made it bearable!

I have just finished my first period with no rubbish in the bin at all and it feels really good. I have to admit it took me 3 periods of using my juju cup to get it right and I also had to change size, but I am really happy with my decision to change to a juju rather than use pads and tampons.
A friend recommended the juju cup to me and I started off buying model 1 because I have not given birth. However I found it very difficult to remove and after looking at some comments on this website I thought maybe I should actually get a model 2, which I have just received and now all is wonderful-easy to remove, no leaks and very comfortable. I also bought some modibodi underwear and wear these when I am worried about leakage, however now I have the right size cup, there is no need for concern.
I recommend juju cups to all women because they are a WA company with great customer service, its good for the environment and our health! It does take a while to get used to the change but it is totally worth it.

I just love my Juju. Been using one now for about 5 cycles and just can't get over how much easier it makes my monthly cycle. Lasts so much longer than tampons, much more comfortable, no leakages and it's great for the environment. Only regret is not trying this out sooner as I've just turned 40.. Buy one and I can guarantee you won't regret it. Convinced 6 girlfriends to buy one as I just rave about mine all the time.. What a wonderful product... double thumbs up from me..
